Centre Pushes LPG Security, Tells State Retailers To Stock 30 Days Of Demand

According to a senior government official, state fuel companies have been asked to plan and build additional LPG storage infrastructure across key consumption centres. The directive comes at a time when India’s LPG consumption has been growing steadily, supported by household coverage under flagship schemes and rising urban use. For policymakers, ensuring uninterrupted LPG supply is now a political and social priority.
