Zomato Limited has officially rebranded itself as Eternal Limited, marking a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution. Announced on February 6, 2025, the name change reflects Zomato's ambition to expand beyond food delivery into a multi-vertical enterprise. Eternal Ltd will now oversee four key business segments: Zomato (food delivery), Blinkit (quick commerce), District (dining and events), and Hyperpure (B2B restaurant supplies).
CEO Deepinder Goyal explained that the rebranding aligns with the company’s growing reliance on Blinkit as a significant driver of future growth. The corporate website will transition to eternal.com, and the stock ticker will change from ZOMATO to ETERNAL. However, the Zomato app and its food delivery services will remain unchanged, ensuring continuity for customers.
This strategic shift aims to establish Eternal Ltd as a diversified tech-driven enterprise while retaining Zomato's strong brand identity. The rebranding has sparked mixed reactions online, with some users embracing the change and others expressing nostalgia for the original name.
