Hero MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, witnessed a sharp rise in its stock price during early trading hours on May 7, 2026. The rally follows its March-quarter results, which showcased record profits and revenues, alongside favorable analyst upgrades that boosted investor sentiment.

Earnings Performance

Hero MotoCorp reported a 30% year-on-year growth in net profit to ₹1,401 crore for Q4 FY26, with revenues rising 29% to ₹12,797 crore. Volumes grew 24% YoY to 17.14 lakh units, supported by strong demand across motorcycles and scooters. The company also declared a final dividend of ₹75 per share, taking the total FY26 payout to ₹185 per share. 

Market Reaction

Shares opened higher and extended gains, climbing nearly 8% by 9:30 AM IST. Brokerages like Jefferies upgraded the stock from Underperform to Hold, citing resilient demand and improved market share in the 110–125cc segment. BofA Securities maintained a Buy rating, highlighting Hero’s EV expansion, though cautioning about margin pressures from rising metal costs. 

Strategic Outlook

Hero MotoCorp is focusing on premium motorcycles and electric vehicles, with plans to double scooter and EV capacity by 2027. Analysts expect industry volumes to grow at an 8% CAGR over FY26–29, positioning Hero to benefit from both domestic demand and export opportunities.
