India Moves to Become World's Seventh-Largest Coffee Producer

India has emerged as the seventh-largest coffee producer in the world, says government data from January 20, 2025. This year, with the crop year going into 2024-25, India's production of coffee would reach a record level of 380,000 tonnes, with an Arabica at 80,000 tonnes and Robusta 300,000 tonnes. This year's export jumped to $1.28 billion between April to November 2024 due to strong global demand and higher prices. Karnataka remains the largest contributor, producing over 70% of India’s coffee. This milestone underscores India's growing influence in the global coffee market.
