India's Bioeconomy: The Road to $300 Billion and Beyond

India stands at the cusp of a bio-revolution with its bioeconomy set to increase from $130 billion in 2024 to a whopping $300 billion by 2030. Behind this encouraging surge is the recently introduced BioE3 (Biotechnology for Economy, Employment, and Environment) policy that seeks to shift industries toward sustainable bio-based models. The policy is targeting sectors such as bio-manufacturing, climate-resilient agriculture, and precision biotherapeutics. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh reflected on this increase as a change-maker in establishing India as the world biotech leader. Growing investments and innovations will lead India's bioeconomy to provide millions of job opportunities and enable sustainable growth.
