Brics Ministerial Meet Sets The Stage  

The foreign ministers’ meeting on May 14–15 is the first major gathering under India’s Brics 2026 chairship and will feed into the leaders’ summit later this year. New Delhi has framed the agenda around resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability, signalling a focus on growth, climate action and inclusive development for the Global South.  

Geopolitics, Governance And Global South Priorities  

Deliberations are likely to centre on reforming multilateral institutions, improving representation for emerging economies and strengthening economic and financial coordination among Brics members. With participation from new entrants including Iran, the talks are expected to cover West Asian tensions, energy security, supply chains, de-dollarisation efforts and digital public infrastructure.
