Captain Cool-off: Sharma's Injury Scare Just a False Alarm

India's deputy coach Ryan ten Doeschate has given a heartening fitness report on skipper Rohit Sharma ahead of the key ICC Champions Trophy 2025 encounter against New Zealand. Though there were doubts about a hamstring problem, ten Doeschate assured that Sharma is coping well. "He's fine. It's an old injury he has, so he knows how to deal with it very well," the coach said. Sharma was observed batting and performing light fielding practice. Although the team may look at rotation for the New Zealand match, the priority is to have the best team prepared for the next semi-final on March 4.
