Celebrating 25 Years of Chhattisgarh: PM Modi Unveils Rs 14,260 Crore Mega Projects to Fuel State's Growth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked Chhattisgarh’s 25th year of statehood by inaugurating projects worth Rs 14,260 crore, spanning roads, healthcare, energy, and rural housing. The celebrations highlighted the state's remarkable transformation and the government’s commitment to inclusive development.

On the momentous occasion of Chhattisgarh’s 25th foundation day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Nava Raipur (Atal Nagar) to participate in grand statehood celebrations and unveil transformative projects valued at Rs 14,260 crore. His visit underscored the state’s impressive journey from a region once riddled with challenges to a beacon of growth and development.

Key Highlights:

Development Milestones: PM Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for a range of projects covering critical sectors such as road infrastructure, healthcare, energy, and industry. Notable initiatives include the four-lane Greenfield highway from Pathalgaon-Kunkuri to the Jharkhand border and a natural gas pipeline connecting 11 districts to the national grid.

Healthcare Expansion: Five new government medical colleges across various districts were inaugurated, enhancing healthcare accessibility. The state now boasts 14 medical colleges and an AIIMS, reflecting its health infrastructure growth.

Rural Welfare: The PM addressed the Griha Pravesh ceremony for 3.51 lakh newly completed houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) and released Rs 1,200 crore installments for 3 lakh beneficiaries, ensuring dignified rural housing.

Power and Connectivity: Electricity and internet have reached every village, transforming rural life. The government’s focus on clean energy was highlighted through a solar-powered, rainwater-harvesting-enabled Chhattisgarh Vidhansabha building.

Cultural Honor: Modi unveiled the statue of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee and inaugurated the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial, celebrating the state’s tribal heritage and freedom fighters.

Social Initiatives: Modi engaged in the ‘Dil Ki Baat’ programme, meeting 2,500 children treated for congenital heart diseases, celebrating healthcare achievements.
