Key highlights

The launch of eNAM 2.0 is a turning point for Indian agriculture, converting conventional mandis into digitally connected, market-oriented centers with direct international outreach. By overcoming decades-old logistical challenges and utilizing tech-based solutions, the upgraded platform is poised to provide increased returns, transparency, and options for millions of Indian farmers.

Seamless Trade and Smarter Logistics

eNAM 2.0 incorporates the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP), which provides real-time tracking and most suitable freight options so that produce travels seamlessly between states and to export terminals. More warehousing, cold storage, and transport—facilitated by the Agricultural Infrastructure Fund—cut down wastage and make higher quality produce available to buyers internationally.

Commodity parameter standardization, AI-powered quality inspection, and price discovery automation enhance trading reliability and fairness. More than 231 commodities, including the newly introduced millets and oilseeds, are standardized and on e-auction as of March 2025, rendering India's agri basket internationally competitive.

New logistics partners and farm-gate modules support last-mile collection, making it possible even for smallholders in rural villages to access the digital market.

Financial Innovation and Trader Access

Enhanced digital payments enable real-time settlements through bank transfers and e-wallets, and tie-ups with fintechs offer micro-loans against trading data, facilitating liquidity for farmers and traders.

Inter-state trade is facilitated by a common digital pass and synchronized compliance regulations, allowing trading across states without any hindrances and removing tax boundaries.

Expanding Digital and Global Access

Mobile app updates offer vernacular support and voice commands, and digital literacy drives for user comfort. More than 2.2 crore farmers, 4,392 FPOs, and 1.4 lakh traders are already registered, spanning 1,361 mandis in 23 states and 4 UTs, with trade values exceeding ₹3.2 lakh crore. The eNAM "Platform of Platforms" is now integrated with global agri-business, e-commerce, and private trading platforms, placing Indian produce at the international level.

Wider Impact

eNAM 2.0 assures greater price realization by eliminating middlemen, increasing farmers' income, and stimulating fresh investment in agri-logistics and supply chains.

States like Madhya Pradesh are leading adoption, using digital infrastructure and training centers to onboard farmers and facilitate quick, fair payments.

With continuous enhancements, eNAM 2.0 is creating an open, boundary-less agri market place—designing the future of Indian agriculture for domestic and global prosperity.
