Grasim Industries Ltd has officially begun commercial production at its newly commissioned Resin Block located within the Birla Opus Paints facility in Kharagpur, West Bengal. The announcement, made via regulatory filings on November 12, 2025, marks a strategic expansion of the company’s manufacturing capabilities in the paints segment.
The new unit adds an installed capacity of 24 million litres per annum (MLPA), taking the total resin block capacity across all Birla Opus plants to 92 MLPA. This development follows the earlier commencement of other paint production lines at the same site in October 2025.
