India Becoming Global Sporting Powerhouse: PM Modi in 'Mann Ki Baat'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated India's journey in sports in the 119th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday. He spoke about the success of the just-concluded 38th National Games in Uttarakhand, where more than 11,000 athletes took part. Modi appreciated the 'Khelo India' campaign for developing young talent and referred to a number of teen champions who dominated different sports. He was happy with the will and dedication of young sportsmen, saying India is quickly progressing towards becoming a sporting giant in the world. The Prime Minister also congratulated the Services team for securing the highest number of gold medals at the games.
