A three-day ISRO Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition at Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, has seen an enthusiastic response from students and schools. Featuring Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan models, rocket replicas, ISRO’s Space Science Bus, films, and scientist interactions, the event aims to spark curiosity about space science and India’s growing space capabilities.
Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota, is hosting a three-day Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition in collaboration with ISRO’s Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad. The event, running from December 1–3, is attracting a high turnout, with hundreds of students from multiple schools and colleges exploring India’s space journey through interactive exhibits and demonstrations.
Key attractions include detailed models of Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan missions, launch pads, radar systems, satellites, and ISRO’s popular Space Science Bus, which showcases how space technology supports everyday life—from weather forecasting to agriculture and disaster management. Multiple halls are screening documentaries and housing replicas of rockets, rovers, and mission components, creating an immersive learning environment for young visitors.
Kota South MLA Sandeep Sharma inaugurated the exhibition, while RTU Vice Chancellor Prof. Nimit Chaudhary and senior ISRO scientists highlighted India’s rise as a major spacefaring nation and encouraged students to consider careers in STEM fields. The exhibition is part of ISRO’s broader outreach efforts to take “space to campuses” and nurture the next generation of Indian space scientists and engineers.
