Jupiter Wagons & Pickkup Join Forces to Electrify Logistics with 300 JEM TEZ Vehicles

Jupiter Electric Mobility, the EV division of Jupiter Wagons Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pickkup, a logistics platform, to deploy 300 JEM TEZ electric light commercial vehicles by the end of the year. This partnership aims to accelerate EV adoption in India's logistics sector, supporting the government’s clean mobility initiatives.

Strategic Partnership: Jupiter Electric Mobility and Pickkup will integrate JEM TEZ electric vehicles into Pickkup’s fleet, enhancing sustainable logistics operations.

 

Vehicle Performance: The JEM TEZ model offers a range of 190-220 km per charge, a payload capacity of 1,050 kg, and CCS2 charging compatibility, making it ideal for urban and intercity deliveries.

 

Pickkup’s Expansion: The logistics company, which operates three-wheeler and four-wheeler EVs, secured $500,000 in seed funding earlier this year to scale operations and technology development.

 

Government Alignment: The partnership aligns with India’s PM e-DRIVE scheme, promoting EV adoption in commercial transportation.

 

Industry Growth: India’s electric commercial vehicle market is expanding as logistics firms seek cost-effective and environmentally compliant solutions.

 

Strategic Outlook:

Jupiter Electric Mobility operates a manufacturing facility in Pithampur, Indore, with an annual production capacity of 8,000-10,000 electric light commercial vehicles. The company plans phased expansion to meet the growing demand for electric logistics solutions.
