The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has declared its budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, with an outlay of ₹5,685 crore for civic services and urban development. The budget prioritizes infrastructure, health, education, and sanitation without imposing any new taxes to provide relief to citizens from the financial burden.
Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde pointed out significant initiatives, including improved waste management systems and smart city projects. Significant allocations are to be provided for the development of roads, water supply, and public health infrastructure. The "Our Navi Mumbai – Our Budget" program also incorporated citizen suggestions to align development plans with public needs.
This human-centered policy reflects the commitment of NMMC to sustainable development in tandem with world-class city services.
