Online Form 6 Tweak Allows UP Voters To Add Names In Voter List

The Election Commission of India has rolled out a crucial update to Form 6, simplifying the process for Uttar Pradesh voters to add their names to the electoral roll. This move follows the release of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) draft voter list, which revealed that 2.89 crore names had been removed.  

Eligible citizens can now use the updated online Form 6 to reapply and ensure their inclusion in the voter list. The revision period runs from January 6 to February 6, 2026, giving voters a month to correct or update their details. Officials emphasized that the tweak is designed to streamline registration, reduce errors, and improve accessibility for young and first-time voters.  

The initiative reflects the Election Commission’s commitment to transparency and inclusivity, ensuring that every eligible voter in Uttar Pradesh has the opportunity to participate in upcoming elections.
