Petronet LNG Limited has announced the appointment of Saurav Mitra as its new Director (Finance) and Chief Financial Officer from the date he takes charge for a period of five years. Mitra, aged 56, replaces Vinod Kumar Mishra, whose term ended on April 18, 2025. An Associate Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Mitra has over three decades of experience at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Lanka IOC PLC, where he held the position of CFO and Executive Director (Internal Audit).
Mitra has expertise in areas of corporate finance, treasury, project funding, risk management, and digitalization, and was the architect behind the first Vendor Invoice Management System at IOCL. His fund-raising acumen while mobilizing finance for mega infra projects and operations excellence is certain to enhance the financial strategy and governance of Petronet LNG. The move was approved by the Board of Directors of the company after inputs from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Audit Committee.
