In a landmark decision, the Uttar Pradesh Government and World Bank have launched two pathbreaking programs-UP AGREES and AI Pragya-to revamp agriculture and digital education of 10 lakh farmers and youths in 28 districts of Purvanchal and Bundelkhand. Inaugurated by CM Yogi Adityanath and World Bank President Ajay Banga, the ₹3,903 crore UP AGREES project will revolutionize agriculture with new-generation technology, precision farming, and climate-resilient farming, with 30% women's involvement. The project will also send 500 farmers abroad for exposure to global best practices, and link 10,000 women producer groups.

Parallelly, the AI Pragya initiative will provide training in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital technology to 10 lakh youth, generating new jobs and a vibrant startup ecosystem. Industry majors like Microsoft, Intel, and Google will collaborate to drive upskilling programs, heralding a new era for UP's rural and digital economy.
