Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is leading a revolutionary drive in the dairy industry, asking industry captains to look beyond biogas and realize the entire potential of circular economy. During a crucial workshop in New Delhi, Shah set out ambitious plans to ramp up biogas models on a scale of 250 district cooperatives in two years. He stressed upon using organic manure, growing dairy cooperatives, and increasing indigenous production of dairy machinery. This program is intended to check farm migration and drive India towards its $5 trillion economy target. The workshop ended with NDDB signing agreements with 15 states for setting up biogas plants.
