The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has rolled out new initiatives in Haryana to strengthen women-led farmer-producer organisations (FPOs) and rural enterprises. The programs, launched in Kaithal and Karnal districts, aim to boost sustainable livelihoods, enhance rural entrepreneurship, and empower women farmers.
NABARD’s latest move underscores its commitment to inclusive rural development. By focusing on women-led enterprises, the bank seeks to create resilient agricultural value chains and promote self-reliance among rural communities.
Strengthening Rural Enterprises
In Pharal village of Kaithal district, NABARD Chairman Shaji K V inaugurated the Viksit FPO Mustard Oil Processing Unit and its sales outlet. He also laid the foundation stone for the Saras Dhara Milk Processing Unit, designed to enhance local dairy production and market access.
