Reliance Jio continues to maintain its dominance in the Indian telecom market by adding nearly 20 lakh new mobile users in October 2025. This impressive growth has raised Jio’s total subscriber count to an astounding 48.47 crore. Jio's expansive network, aggressive marketing, and competitive pricing strategies have been key drivers of this surge, especially in urban and semi-urban regions.
On the other hand, Bharti Airtel, under the leadership of Sunil Mittal, has also demonstrated healthy subscriber growth, adding around 12.5 lakh users last month. Airtel now boasts a subscriber base of 39.36 crore. The company’s focus on enhancing network quality, improving 5G coverage, and offering premium services has contributed to its sustained growth in a highly competitive environment.
However, Vodafone Idea’s journey continues to be challenging with a subscriber drop of approximately 20.8 lakh users in October. The company now serves about 20.07 crore users. Factors such as network issues, limited investment in 5G rollout, and stiff competition have impacted its subscriber base negatively.
