The School Cinema International Film Festival (SCIFF) will take place from November 14 to 30, involving 41,000 schools across India. Featuring over 100 curated films from 25 countries, the festival integrates cinema with education, promoting creativity, empathy, and global awareness among students.
From November 14, 2025, the eighth edition of SCIFF will transform thousands of classrooms across India into vibrant cinemas. More than 41,000 government and private schools will screen 103+ films from 25 countries, available in over 20 languages. Originating in 2017, SCIFF aims to democratize access to cinema as an educational tool, aligning with India’s National Education Policy 2020 emphasis on creative and holistic learning.
Festival Director Syed Sultan Ahmed highlights SCIFF’s vision to nurture a generation that “watches with awareness, learns with curiosity, and expresses with empathy.” Through the “WATCH, LEARN, MAKE” framework, students will watch age-appropriate films, attend workshops on scriptwriting and filmmaking, and participate in a filmmaking competition, fostering hands-on learning and creativity.
Supported by international film festivals and partners from France and Spain, SCIFF has already impacted over 10 million students and 60,000 schools. This year’s edition promises an enriching blend of entertainment and education, spotlighting diverse stories to inspire young minds.
