Unmasking Fake Voters: The Power of Aadhaar-EPIC Linkage in Manipur

Former Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has hailed the Election Commission of India's move to link Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) with Aadhaar as a step towards boosting electoral transparency and curbing malpractices. Singh stressed that there should be a strong mechanism to weed out bogus Aadhaar holders, making sure that the verification and cross-checking of government records is done thoroughly. The exercise is designed to remove duplicate EPICs and bogus entries to protect the rights of legitimate voters and strengthen the credibility of the electoral process in Manipur.
