Plastics Industry Seeks PLI Scheme in Budget 2025 to Enhance Global Presence

The All-India Plastics Manufacturers' Association (AIPMA) has called for a Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the plastics industry in the upcoming Budget 2025 as it looks to enhance India's share in the global plastics market through support to the manufacturers in scaling up. Recommendations of AIPMA: GST on plastic recycling machinery be brought down to 'nil'; GST on conversion cost of recycled plastic granules at present 18% be reduced to 5%. The aim is promoting recycling and sustainability in the industry.
