Saif Ali Khan's Emergency Surgery at Lilavati Hospital: A Glimpse into Its Namesake

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan recently survived an emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai after an attack with a knife. The actor, who sustained multiple stab wounds, was seen walking himself into the hospital, which says a lot about him. 

The hospital was founded in 1997 and named after Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta, wife of noted businessman Kirtilal Manilal Mehta. It was established in her memory by her husband to provide quality health care for the community. The medical trust, which owns the hospital, has transformed from a small venture into a highly technological medical service with more than 1,800 dedicated personnel. Today, it is one of the brightest beacons for many, which continues its heritage of compassion and care in delivering healthcare.
