The Kremlin's Denial: No Trump-Putin Call Took Place

In a shocking denial, the Kremlin dismissed the claims of a phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump as "completely false." This response followed after The Washington Post reported that Trump had cautioned Putin against escalation of the conflict in Ukraine during a supposed conversation. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov insisted that such a discussion never took place and dismissed the reports as "pure fiction." The episode reflects continued tensions and the sensitivity of the Kremlin to media narratives about international relations.
