MUMBAI — Adani Power Limited has officially secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the long-term supply of 1,600 MW of thermal power. The agreement, which spans a duration of 25 years, marks a major milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to expand its baseload power capacity to support Maharashtra’s growing industrial and household energy needs.

Adani Power emerged as the successful bidder in a competitive tender process, offering a combined tariff of ₹5.30 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). The power will be sourced from one of the company’s upcoming ultra-supercritical thermal power projects, with supply scheduled to commence in the 2030-31 financial year.

This 1,600 MW contract is part of Adani Power’s larger strategic growth program, which aims to increase the company's total generation capacity from 18.15 GW to 41.87 GW by the 2031-32 financial year.
