Banking at Your Fingertips: RBI Rolls Out WhatsApp Channel for Financial Awareness

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has launched its official WhatsApp channel, making financial updates more accessible to the public. This initiative, part of the RBI’s ongoing ‘RBI Kehta Hai’ campaign, aims to provide verified information on banking, digital safety, and financial policies directly to users.  

Subscribing to the RBI’s WhatsApp channel is simple. Users can scan the QR code shared by the central bank on its official website or social media handles. Once subscribed, they will receive regular updates on safe digital transactions, fraud prevention, customer rights, and policy changes. The RBI hopes this move will strengthen trust in India’s digital financial ecosystem while ensuring last-mile information delivery.  

With financial scams and misinformation on the rise, the RBI’s WhatsApp channel is expected to serve as a reliable source of official updates, helping users make informed decisions.
