Centre Gives Nod for Striking New State Emblem for Tripura.

The Central Government has formally accepted a new state emblem for Tripura. This is said to represent the cultural and historical value of the region. The emblems are made with colorful motifs representing the tribal heritage and modernist vision of the state. It is regarded as a move towards reassertion of the distinctiveness of the state at the national level.
