China Dominates ISSF World Cup Mixed Team Events, Secures Gold and Silver

Chinese shooters showcased their dominance at the ISSF World Cup in Munich, clinching gold and silver in the mixed team events. The competition, which concluded on June 14, saw China’s precision and consistency shine through, reinforcing their stronghold in international shooting.  

Gold in 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team  

- Yao Qianxun and Hu Kai secured the gold medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event with a commanding 16-4 victory over Elmira Karapetyan and Benik Khlghatyan of Armenia.  

- The Chinese duo raced to an 8-0 lead early in the final, maintaining their momentum to seal the win convincingly.  

- Hu Kai’s victory marked his fourth World Cup gold, continuing his streak of dominance in the individual pistol events.  

Silver in 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team  

- Wang Zifei and Sheng Lihao, world record holders in their respective individual events, claimed silver in the 10m air rifle mixed team event.  

- The pair set a new qualification world record of 635.9 points, surpassing the previous mark by 0.1 points.  

- Despite their strong start in the final, they fell short against India’s Arya Borse and Arjun Babuta, who secured gold with a 17-7 victory.  

Overall Medal Standings and Future Prospects  

- China topped the medal standings with four golds, one silver, and two bronze medals, reaffirming their status as a shooting powerhouse.  

- Norway and India followed closely, each securing two gold medals in the tournament.  

- The ISSF World Cup circuit will next move to Ningbo, China, from September 7 to 15, where Chinese shooters will aim to extend their winning streak.
