Cold Wave Grips North India as Delhi Records Light Rain and Dense Fog

Delhi and neighboring regions experienced light rainfall on Saturday evening, with temperatures dropping to 7.7°C while the maximum settled at 17°C, three notches below average. The IMD forecasts cloudy skies with continued light rain and drizzle, while dense to very dense fog conditions are expected to persist across the Indo-Gangetic plains for the next 4-5 days. The rainfall has improved Delhi's air quality to 'poor' category with an AQI of 285. Meanwhile, cold wave conditions continue across North India, with the IMD predicting fresh snowfall in Himachal Pradesh and thunderstorms across Northwest and Central India.
