Desi Girl Goes Interstellar: Pandya's Cosmic Masala Mix

Canada's first commercial female astronaut and fourth Indian-origin female astronaut to be in space, Dr. Shawna Pandya, is set to embark on the IIAS-02 mission. Part of the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences' tie-up with Virgin Galactic, Pandya will be performing experiments on medicine and physical sciences. With a neuroscience and space medicine background, she would contribute her Indian work culture to the mission, stressing hard work and perseverance. Pandya would like to encourage more women from India to follow careers in science, medicine, and space exploration, further establishing India's profile as a top-class space research nation.
