Elon Musk’s SpaceX continues to push boundaries in its quest to return humans to the Moon, with multiple missions underway and new milestones achieved in 2025. The company’s Starship spacecraft, designed for deep space travel, is central to NASA’s Artemis program and Musk’s broader vision of interplanetary colonization.

Key Highlights:

SpaceX successfully launched its third lunar mission of the year—the IM-2 Athena lander—aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral. The lander is en route to Mons Mouton near the Moon’s South Pole, a critical site for future human exploration.

The mission includes NASA’s Lunar Trailblazer spacecraft and advanced instruments like PRIME-1 and the Laser Retroreflector Array, aimed at analyzing lunar soil and detecting water ice.
