Fire Blazes Three Houses in Srinagar's Nawabazar

A ferocious fire swept through the Sonarkul Nawabazar locality of Srinagar's old city at the crack of dawn on Sunday, gutting three residential houses. The fire, which originated at around 7 AM, rapidly spread from house to house, inflicting major damage. Fire engines sped to the area to douse the flames. Thankfully, there are no reports of injuries or fatalities in the mishap. The reason behind the fire is not yet known. This comes shortly after a blaze in the Khanyar neighbourhood of Srinagar, when two to three homes and a mosque were left damaged, proving the need for better fire prevention measures in the area.
