India–Pacific Islands: India reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its partnership with Pacific Island countries.
India–US Economic Relations: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent committed to deepening bilateral cooperation, including critical minerals; Bessent was invited to New Delhi for the Economic and Financial Partnership later in 2026.
India Windfall Taxes: Government raised the windfall tax on petrol exports to ₹1.50 per litre from nil and on diesel exports to ₹25 per litre from ₹24, effective September 1; the levy on aviation turbine fuel exports was reduced marginally to ₹19 from ₹19.50 per litre.

EPL: Promoter Epsilon Bidco, backed by Blackstone affiliates, exited EPL by selling its entire 26.38% stake comprising 8.44 crore shares for ₹2,032.33 crore at ₹240.57 each. Eight institutional investors collectively acquired 3.37 crore shares, representing a 10.5% stake in the company.
Happiest Minds Technologies: BNP Paribas Financial Markets sold 10.19 lakh shares through a bulk deal representing a 0.66% stake at ₹367.23 apiece, totaling approximately ₹37.42 crore.
Symbiotec Pharmalab: TIMF Holdings (owned by US-based Think Investments) acquired 3.77 lakh shares (0.58% stake) at ₹989.20 per share, valuing the deal at approximately ₹37.30 crore.
Wonder Electricals: Nexus Global Opportunities Fund purchased an additional 15 lakh shares (1.11% stake) for ₹12.12 crore at ₹80.84 per share.
