Hyderabad Set For Modi’s Mega Visit With Development Push And Political Show Of Strength On May 10

On May 10, 2026, Hyderabad will host Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a landmark visit that combines governance and politics. The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for major infrastructure projects before addressing a BJP rally at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad. The visit is seen as a strategic push to strengthen BJP’s presence in Telangana.

Development Projects Inauguration

At the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), PM Modi will inaugurate or lay the foundation stone for projects worth approximately ₹9,400 crore. Key initiatives include:

Four-laning of National Highway-167 from Gudebellur to Mahabubnagar on the Hyderabad-Panaji Economic Corridor (₹3,175 crore).

• Kazipet–Vijayawada third railway line (₹1,243 crore).
• Indian Oil Greenfield POL Terminal at Malkapur, Hyderabad (₹611 crore).
• PM MITRA Park at Warangal and Zaheerabad Industrial Area, expected to drive industrial growth and employment.
• Sammakka–Sarakka Central Tribal University (₹1,000 crore) and National Science Centre (₹400 crore). 

BJP Rally At Parade Grounds

Following the inauguration, PM Modi will address a public rally at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad. Telangana BJP leaders expect nearly two lakh people to attend, with elaborate arrangements including stage construction, crowd management, and summer heat precautions. The rally is being positioned as a show of strength, with BJP cadres mobilized through bike rallies and wall-writing campaigns. 

Political Significance

This visit is politically crucial as BJP seeks to expand its footprint in Telangana.
