India Presses Ahead with Coal Mine Auctions via Gandhinagar Roadshow

The Ministry of Coal will conduct its third roadshow for commercial coal mine auctions in Gandhinagar on March 4, 2025. It is part of the government's continued efforts to elicit investors into the coal mining industry. The roadshow will present 27 coal blocks for auction across several states, namely Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. The major aspects of the auction process, including incentives for early production and payment flexibility, will be emphasized. The program is designed to increase domestic coal production, lower imports, and improve energy security. Industry captains and prospective investors are likely to participate in this important event.
