India Unveils ₹3,295 Crore Boost: 40 Projects Set to Transform Lesser-Known Destinations into Iconic Tourist Hotspots

The Indian government has confirmed approving interest-free loans of ₹3,295.8 crore to 40 projects across 23 states. Tourism infrastructure will get a boost from this initiative by promoting lesser-known destinations and will encourage sustainable tourism practices. There will be the creation of job opportunities and kick-starting the local economy since the completion dates are set to be within two years. Funding is part of a larger strategy to achieve more balanced tourist traffic and an improved tourism experience overall in India, which has seen international arrivals rebound to pre-pandemic levels.
