IndiGo CEO: Travel Demand Remains Strong in India Amid Global Aircraft Delivery Challenges

IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers has expressed confidence in India's travel demand, stating there is no softness in the market. Despite global aircraft delivery pressures, IndiGo is expanding its operations, with plans to launch new routes and increase its fleet. The airline is set to receive its first Airbus A321XLR by June 2025, enhancing its international capabilities. Elbers noted that domestic demand is growing, and IndiGo aims to reduce grounded planes to less than 50 by March 2025. This optimism reflects India's burgeoning aviation sector, where both IndiGo and Air India are positioning themselves for significant growth in the international market.
