Japan-India Alliance: A Powerful Force for International Peace and Security

Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya, at a recent meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, said Japan and India played a very important role in ensuring world peace. "We share basic values," he said. "We share a responsibility for stability in the international community." Both agreed to strengthen bilateral ties and announced that the period between April 2025 to March 2026 would be celebrated as the "Japan India Science Technology and Innovation Exchange Year." This effort was aimed at reinforcing cooperation in security, economy, and cultural exchanges, making them a stronger strategic partnership in Asia.
