JioStar, the joint venture between Viacom18 and Star India, has today unveiled JioHotstar, a groundbreaking streaming platform that merges JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar. With a massive content library of 300,000 hours and a user base exceeding 50 crore, JioHotstar is set to dominate India's digital streaming market. The platform offers content in 10 Indian languages, featuring movies, shows, live sports, and international premieres. JioHotstar introduces a free tier and subscription plans starting at Rs. 149. The merger brings together content from various international studios, including Disney, NBCUniversal, Warner Bros., and Paramount. JioHotstar also unveils 'Sparks', an initiative to spotlight India's top digital creators.
