- The Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week, reducing travel time between Katra and Srinagar to just three hours, compared to the usual six to seven hours by road.
- The train is designed to handle harsh winter conditions, featuring heaters, insulated toilets, heated windshields, and defrosting technology for improved visibility in snow and fog.
- Two pairs of Vande Bharat trains will run on this route: Train Nos. 26404/26403 and 26401/26402, with scheduled stops at Banihal.

- Train No. 26401 departs from Katra at 8:10 am and arrives in Srinagar at 11:08 am. The return journey from Srinagar starts at 2:00 pm, reaching Katra at 4:58 pm. This service will not operate on Tuesdays.
- Train No. 26403 departs from Katra at 2:55 pm and reaches Srinagar at 5:53 pm. The return journey from Srinagar begins the next day at 8:00 am. This service will not operate on Wednesdays.
- Ticket prices are set at ₹715 for Chair Car (CC) and ₹1,320 for Executive Class (EC).
