Nature's Secret Weapon: Chhattisgarh Scientists Unlock Plant-Based Oral Cancer Detection

Scientists at Chhattisgarh's Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU) are causing a buzz with their novel plant-based method for oral cancer diagnosis. Associate Professor Manju Singh from the Department of Pharmacy, along with Professor Keshavkant Sahu from Biotechnology, are leading this path-breaking research. They are working towards creating a non-invasive, plant-based way to detect oral cancer, which could transform early detection and treatment. The study fits into the increasing trend of phytochemicals as therapeutic agents for cancer, as seen in recent reviews of the potential of medicinal plants against oral squamous cell carcinoma. The researchers are seeking to have their discovery patented, representing a huge leap in the battle against oral cancer.
