The Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) conducted its Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) on June 16, and 75% of the enrolled candidates appeared for the test. The highest attendance was seen in pharmacy, computer science, and mechanical engineering, which indicates that there is incredibly high interest in the three courses.

Out of 217 candidates who were enrolled, 163 candidates took the examination, competing for 102 PhD seats across different disciplines like applied mathematics, physics, chemistry, data science, statistics, electronics, and IT. The examination was taken under tight security arrangements, and the candidates underwent photo identification, document verification, and biometric verification to establish integrity.

The DET had two papers, one on researching method and the other research-specific content, each with 50 multiple-choice questions. While the majority of the candidates found the research methodology paper challenging, the research-specific paper was reported to be easier.

DAVV deployed supervisors, a flying squad, and a control room to its IET campus to oversee the process. University officials and observers conducted on-ground checks to maintain transparency. No cheating took place.

The answer key would be released on or prior to June 20, and the candidates would be given three or four days' time to file objections at a rate of ₹200 per question. The results would decide the destiny of doctoral admissions in DAVV.
