In a turn of events, Bollywood legend Aamir Khan's mother Zeenat Khan will make her debut on the acting screen at the age of 91 in his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par. This was disclosed while Aamir was chatting with the press and explaining how his mother was included in the final wedding song sequence in the film because she happened to be on the set.

A Surprise Entry into Cinema

Zeenat Khan had never been interested in acting in films before.

In the morning of the shoot day, she suddenly phoned Aamir and asked for a trip to the shoot location.

Director RS Prasanna suggested showcasing her in the wedding fest scene, providing her with her first on-screen experience.

A Family Affair on Screen

Aamir's sister, Nikhat Khan, also appears in Sitaare Zameen Par.

This is the first time Aamir and Nikhat are working on-screen for a film.

The movie, which is a spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par, addresses the issues of inclusivity and perseverance.
