AFCAT 2 2025 Registration Opens for 284 Officer-Level Vacancies in the Indian Air Force

The Indian Air Force has officially launched the registration process for AFCAT 2 2025, inviting applications from aspirants seeking a career as commissioned officers. The recruitment drive aims to fill 284 vacancies across the Flying Branch, Technical Branch, and Ground Duty Branches.

- The online application process has commenced on June 2, 2025, and will remain open until July 1, 2025  
- Candidates can apply through the official website, afcat.cdac.in, as offline submissions will not be accepted  
- The selection process includes a computer-based test, followed by interviews and medical evaluations for shortlisted candidates  
- The AFCAT 2 2025 exam is scheduled to take place in September 2025  

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants  
- Nationality: Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply  
- Age Limit:  
  - Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as of July 1, 2026  
  - Technical and Ground Duty Branches: 20 to 26 years as of July 1, 2026  
- Educational Qualifications:  
  - Flying Branch: Graduation with at least 60 percent marks and Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level  
  - Technical Branch: A minimum of 60 percent in an engineering degree in relevant disciplines  
  - Ground Duty Branches: Graduation or post-graduation in relevant fields with a minimum of 60 percent marks  

Application Process and Exam Details  
- Candidates must register online by creating login credentials on the AFCAT portal  
- The application form requires personal, academic, and contact details along with scanned document uploads  
- The exam will be conducted in computer-based test mode, covering sections on general awareness, verbal ability, numerical ability, reasoning, and military aptitude  
- Each correct answer will earn three marks, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response

- Shortlisted candidates will proceed to the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interviews, followed by medical evaluations
