• Shubhanshu Shukla’s journey is extraordinary. A seasoned fighter pilot with over 2,000 hours of flight experience across aircraft such as the Sukhoi-30MKI, MiG-21, MiG-29, Jaguar, Hawk, Dornier, and An-32, he transitioned into space exploration with remarkable courage.  
• His mission aboard the Axiom-4 spacecraft in June 2025 made him the first Indian to set foot on the International Space Station. Spending 18 days in orbit, Shukla became only the second Indian to travel beyond Earth, following Rakesh Sharma’s iconic Soyuz mission in 1984.
