Flipkart has taken a milestone step in video commerce with the launch of 'Creator Cities'—special production studios in Mumbai, Bangalore, and Gurgaon—looking to revolutionize the way brands, creators, and customers interact with India's rapidly growing digital retail economy.

Key Highlights:

India's First Large Video Commerce Infrastructure:
Flipkart's Creator Cities cover 18,000 sq. ft. in three large cities with cutting-edge content creation studios, influencer marketing, and commerce under one umbrella.

Powerhouse for Content Production:
Each plant is able to make large quantities, rapidly, with over 400 items produced daily. Over 300 production experts and 200+ designers collaborate each month, assisted by real-time monitoring and optimization tools using AI.

Strategic Ecosystem for Sellers and Brands:
The solution offers an end-to-end influencer marketing solution, streamlining go-to-market time and allowing faster, more precise campaigns. Brands and sellers can now scale content plans and engage digital-native consumers more efficiently.

Explosive Growth in Video Engagement: Flipkart has witnessed an 8X growth in daily live hours and a 17X growth in user interaction in the last one year, with more than 10 million hours of video content viewed—particularly by Gen Z, millennials, and consumers in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

Gen Z Led Industry and Social Commerce:
As per a recent report by BCG quoted by Flipkart, 72% of Indian Gen Z consumers are dependent on creator-driven channels for shopping ideas. Social commerce in India could reach $10–14 billion by 2025, representing 7–9% of overall online retail expenditure.

Commitment to Inclusivity and Safety:
There are strict safety protocols in the studios, 24/7 medical care, and they are designed to democratize access for creators from all backgrounds, even from smaller cities.

"With 'Creator Cities,' we're placing a strategic wager on the future of e-commerce, enabling a lively community of creators, brands, and sellers to meet with consumers in immersive and authentic ways," said Neha Agrahari, Senior Director, Video Commerce, Flipkart. Flipkart's Creator Cities are a significant step towards humanizing and scaling e-commerce, putting the company at the forefront of India's next retail revolution.
