Celebrating the 35th anniversary of his landmark film Ghayal, actor Sunny Deol took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute to the movie that, in his words, “challenged me, inspired me, and showed the power of storytelling.” Released in 1990, Ghayal marked the directorial debut of Rajkumar Santoshi and was produced by Sunny’s father, Dharmendra. The film became the second highest-grossing film of the year, cementing Deol’s status as Bollywood’s action icon.

In an emotional Instagram post, Sunny shared a montage of powerful scenes from the film, calling his character Ajay Mehra more than just a role—it was a “piece of my heart.” Fans flooded the comments with nostalgia, hailing him as the “original action hero.”

As Ghayal turns 35, Sunny is gearing up for his next big release—Border 2, slated for January 23, 2026, alongside Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh.
