India’s youth are being encouraged to stop waiting for the future and start building it. With two-thirds of the population under 35, leaders say this generation has the energy and imagination to turn India into a global hub for innovation and product development.
At a recent event, AICTE Chairman Prof. TG Sitharam said young Indians need to think beyond jobs and start creating solutions. He pointed to projects like the Chenab Rail Bridge and the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya as proof that Indian engineers can deliver world-class results, even with limited resources. His message was simple: imagination matters, but execution matters more.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar echoed that sentiment during a speech at Sherwood College. He urged students to aim higher than personal success and focus on building a better nation. He also highlighted the importance of education and technology, encouraging students to explore fields like AI and machine learning.
Government programs like Startup India and the National Education Policy are already laying the groundwork. But the real shift will come when more young people start thinking of themselves as builders, not just consumers.
India doesn’t lack talent or ambition. What it needs now is a generation ready to take risks, solve real problems, and turn ideas into products that matter.
