In a high-octane IPL clash, Punjab Kings (PBKS) chased down a daunting target of 204, defeating Mumbai Indians (MI) by 5 wickets with an over to spare. The match witnessed fireworks from Shreyas Iyer, who anchored the chase with a sensational 87 off just 41 balls, smashing 5 fours and 8 sixes at an astonishing strike rate of 212.20.

Earlier, MI posted a formidable total of 203/6 in their 20 overs, led by strong contributions from their top and middle order. In response, PBKS got off to a brisk start with Priyansh Arya scoring 20 off 10. Nehal Wadhera (48 off 29) and Josh Inglis (38 off 21) provided vital support before Iyer took charge of the innings.

Ashwani Kumar was the standout bowler for MI, grabbing 2 wickets for 55 runs, while the usually reliable Jasprit Bumrah went wicketless, conceding 40 in his full quota.

The finishing touches came from Marcus Stoinis and Iyer, who built an unbeaten 38-run partnership in just 15 balls, sealing the game in style. With this win, PBKS demonstrated their batting firepower and moved ahead in the points table with renewed momentum.
